The Next Big Thing in non electric heated mattress pad

Every winter, I seem like it has gotten chillier than the bed heaters year before. Perhaps it is since every year, I grow older and my metabolism decreases. This year, I chose to find out how to stay warm in bed. My blankets are not any warmer and I didn't want to alter blankets so I decided to try other methods. Here is what I attempted and what appeared to work for me.

Warmer pajamas: I am utilized to using shorts and a t-shirt to bed. Or, often, I'll use an attractive camisole for my spouse and I to enjoy. This winter, I attempted using long sleeve pajamas. I really tried various kinds. Initially, I tried the flannel pajamas. They were very warm and I felt great all night. The only thing was that I didn't get to feel the softness of my down blanket against my body - something that I really delight in. Also, I didn't feel as attractive going to bed, something that I like to feel also, especially with my husband sleeping next to me. Next, I attempted wearing these silk pajamas. They certainly felt soft to the touch, however weren't as warm as the flannel. It still worked better than a camisole or shorts and a tee shirt.

Heated blanket: Although I enjoy my blankets, I chose to add a heated blanket underneath them just for my body. The heated blanket worked too well. I was practically too hot and my other half and I hesitated of starting a fire in the middle of the night because the blanket had to be plugged in. While this choice was excellent, I chose I would just use it for times when I am sitting on the couch and reading and need some additional heat. I'm keeping the blanket, however am not going to use it to go to sleep.

Cashmere bed socks: This was another alternative recommended to me by a friend. At first, when she discussed it, I had no idea what cashmere bed socks were. I found out that they are specific socks that you can buy to wear to bed. Obviously, you don't need to buy these socks and you can always just wear any pair of cotton socks to bed, however these are made particularly to keep your feet warm all night. I actually attempted wearing these with my shorts and tee shirt and discovered that it made a big difference in how warm I felt. Remarkably, these worked really well and I didn't need to fear a fire or change what I generally wore. Naturally using socks to bed felt a little foreign to me at first, but eventually I got utilized to it.

My blankets are not any warmer and I didn't want to change blankets so I decided to attempt other ways. The only thing was that I didn't get to feel the softness of my down blanket versus my body - something that I truly enjoy. Heated blanket: Although I like my blankets, I chose to include a heated blanket underneath them simply for my body. The heated blanket worked too well. I'm keeping the blanket, but am not going to use it to go to sleep.
